Win or loss, Sio doesn’t seem all too bother by specific results just yet. Quill’s having a fun time getting to play with other pokemon, and Sio’s getting the thrill of competition all the same! Besides, they’re only just getting started!

So seeing her good friend Makoto and their ever eager Nintetales, she can’t help but snicker and wave. ”Makoto, darling! What a pleasure it is to see you here~!” they chime. Quill hops over to Tsukiko, yapping and bouncing along with her. ”I hope all’s been well, yes? I’m ready to begin whenever you are~”

Makoto perked visibly as Sio made her appearance, and they can't help but blink a second before they respond "S-Sio, it's nice to see you, too." There is still a shy hue, especially visible in their attempts to smile - but at the same time, there is genuine warmth. "Everything's been alright; hoping this'll burn off some of Tsukiko's boundless energy... You?"

(Though, that being said - the trouble of something being 'boundless' is that it likely has no end.)

With Tsukiko raring to go though, giving a couple of playful nips to Quill, it was clear that waiting any longer to start would cause the fox to vibrate into another dimension. Thus, Makoto would pull out their Tera Orb to terastallize Tsukiko...

... And the fox would take on the red hues of Fire-type, in turn. Wasting no time in putting this to work, she'd let loose a Tera Blast, breathing a gout of flames at Quill!

Sio chuckles quietly at Makoto's reaction- though, she hums at the radiating warmth from the thief. She smiles back, nodding. "Oh, certainly. I'm hoping this will do the same for Quill. Maybe for once, he won't try to paint on my documents? She'd muse playfully.

Though, there really was no promise of that. Especially not when Quill was already vibrating himself, giving those same playful nips to Tsukiko.

And, seeing the fiery glow of Tsukiko's Terastallization, and the blast that was about to come forth...

"Quill, your turn! Me First on Tsukiko and give her a taste of her own medicine!" Sio shouts, with the Smeargle already spinning its tail and glowing with psychic energy! He rares himself back, aiming his tail like a blaster to fire burning, red and yellow paint from the end!

Tsukiko audibly spluttered and gargled as she ended up with a mawful of paint, looking thoroughly bewildered at this experience. She would make a point to try and spit out the paint, and making disgruntled noises to make sure everyone within a half mile radius knew that This Did Not Taste Good.

Once she was able to get most of the paint taste off her tongue though, Tsukiko was thoroughly prepared to avoid being forced to gargle paint again. Thus, charging forth at Quill, her tails would light aflame in violet dragonsfire - and doing a frontflip, she'd attempt to slam her tails into Quill as a Dragon Hammer..!

Quill howls with laughter as Tsukiko is stuck sputtering and spitting out paint- this was too good, really! He even puts his paws up to his ears, sticking his tongue out and blowing a raspberry! This was all Way Too Funny to him.

But, this lighthearted whimy would soon come to an end, as he'd notice Tsukiko charging at him with the Dragon Hammer, he has to think of a way to deal with this quick! And so, drawing up a line of paint around himself, he Transforms into a fascimile of Tsukiko- immediately using Dig to try and avoid the hammer before coming up for another attack!

See, the thing about the Ninetales' arctic cousins, is that they have good hearing. Hearing meant to listen for prey scurrying below - even if it's below snow rather than earth. Which meant that the second that Quill transformed to escape - though the transformation itself had briefly puzzled Tsukiko - the fox was willing to wait patiently to listen for where Quill was...

... And the second the beagle-turned-icefox showed himself, Tsukiko was happy to ambush him with a Tera Blast, breathing fire once more..!

As the ambush is sprung though, perhaps Tsukiko was being a bit cheeky - blowing a raspberry right back at Quill, and letting out foxlike laughter, tails wagging aplenty. And in the hopes of avoiding any payback for said taunting, she'd let loose a follow-up Springtide Storm, dancing amongst a whirlwind of pink petals, that were frosted by the cold she gave off.

The thing about Smeargles in comparison is that, wild they do have their wild relatives, they may not be as prepared for a wilder situation like a Ninetales...

And that trait shows itself off well, as Quill is unable to escape the Tera Blast and stutters back. Though, he isn't knocked out quite yet, so the facade stays just fine! Still trying to get a feel for his rather cheeky friend's moveset, and desperate to avoid the onrush of the Springtide Storm, he tries once again to unleash a hard hitting blow. With a mighty howl and tails a-spinning (which, he never had to get used to this many tails before), he cast a Blizzard to try and fight back!

Storm clashed against storm - and though the Blizzard may have froze a number of the petals flying about, it seemed that Tsukiko's attack would win out of the two. It howled about without any signs of stopping, advancing fast and sure to swallow Quill up in it..!

And Tsukiko, looking to further capitalize on the momentum she had in this moment, would breathe out another Tera Blast in Quill's direction. If she was lucky, perhaps this would be just what she needed, to win out against her little doppelganger over there..!

The cold and petals nipped against Quill's fur (seriously, who needed this much fur??), and he stuttered back once more. He'd shake his body out, trying to regain his composure before the next attack.

Which, with Tsukiko preparing another Tera Blast, he knew he'd have to ready himself quicker than he'd already been. Lowering himself by his front end, he'd rare himself back before howling just the same- firing another Blizzard right back at her!

Though Tsukiko tried to blaze with her Tera Blast, the Blizzard that Quill brought forth would snuff the flames out - leaving the fox to be buffeted about. She'd stumble, swaying on her paws a little - but giving herself a quick shake, was already prepared to try and finish this fight one way or another.

Thus, she'd use the Blizzard's howling winds and obscuring snow and ice to her advantage, as cover to Dig unseen - attempting to ambush Quill from below..!

Reveling in his momentary success, Quill yaps about as Tsukiko is buffeted and blown away by the Blizzard. It was neck and neck now, and the temporary Ninetales is more than determined to be the one to stand on top!

Though it's not all too easy for him to hear or see her Dig underground, he still prepares his attack. Besides, what else is he supposed to do when he can't even see his opponent? With a slightly less than mighty howl, he brings on a Springtide Storm, hoping to finally knock Tsukiko down with the cold petals!

Underground, Tsukiko was safe from the storm of petals above - happy to bide her time until it was time to pounce. It was very well possible that Quill never saw her coming at all, until it was too late.

But as she pounces upon Quill, she seems utterly ecstatic about having finally triumphed in a fight - tails wagging as she turns back to Makoto, and begins running circles around them, yapping up a storm!

Makoto can't help a soft laugh at this, scratching the back of their head as they glanced to Sio. "Good fight," They spoke with a soft smile; and though momentarily shy, they'd extend a hand for a handshake with her.

And it's exactly when Tsukiko pounces upon him after resurfacing that Quill loses his transformation -paint melting away to reveal the tired and panting Smeargle underneath all that "fur." Once he's able to regain his footing, though, he bounces right back up - yapping at Tsukiko and waving his paws about. Good fight!

Similarly, Sio can't help but quietly chuckle at the display, ruffling the fur atop Quill's head. She glances back to Makoto as they speak, humming and shaking their hand with a returned smile. "And same to you, darling- really took the spotlight there~" she muses, giving Tsukiko a pat as well.
